Winning award at Tribeca Film Festival, Iranian short film ‘Retouch’ has been introduced to the Academy Awards 2017.
Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, ‘Retouch’ won the best short film award at the Tribeca Film Festival in the US.
The film has participated in many international festivals and has won Crystal Simorgh for Best Short Film at Fajr Film Festival as well as grabbing the best short title from Iran Cinema Celebration.
Produced by the Iranian Young Cinema Society, “Retouch” is about a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes and she just observes the tragic scene.
The 89th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), to honor the best films and cineastes of 2016, will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on February 26, 2017.
